Constitution of Swaziland 1968

Published: 26/Aug/1968

Annex to Swaziland Independence Order 1968 (S.I. 1968 No. 1377) (UK government). Entry into force immediately before 6 September 1968.

Whereas the 1967 constitution provided that every person born in Swaziland was a citizen, the 1968 constitution establishes a descent-based regime through the father only. However, those who were citizens under the 1967 constitution remain citizens under the new constitution.
