Egyptians who get approval for immigration abroad in 2018 increase by 10.6%

The CAPMAS disclosed that Egyptian males who have obtained approval to immigrate and those who have acquired immigrant status was 319, representing 82.9% of the total number of immigrants, meanwhile female immigrants were 66, representing only 17.1% from the total number.


Moreover, the CAPMAS showed that the number of immigrants who have acquired foreign citizenship reached 2,694 Egyptian in 2018, compared to 2,331 Egyptians in 2017. This is a hike of 15.6 %.

“1,285 Egyptians obtained permission of nationalisation while retaining the Egyptian nationality by 47.7%,” the CAPMAS further stated.

Unfortunately, the CAPMAS stated that 1,409 Egyptians obtained permission to naturalise, with no Egyptian nationality being retained at a rate of 52.3% of the total number.
