France strips a Moroccan of French citizenship over terrorism charges

The Council of State announced Monday it had refused to review the appeal of a French man of Moroccan origin stripped of his French nationality after he was convicted of terrorism charges.

Ahmed Sahnouni, a Moroccan naturalized by France in 2003, was sentenced to seven years in prison in 2013 over terrorism charges.

“The Council of State dismissed the various criticisms made by the applicant against this decree,” the French Council of State said in a statement.
