New CAJ report exposes rot within registration, immigration departments

The Commision on Administrative Justice better known as the office of the Ombudsman has raised the red flag over rampant corruption within the gov’t registration and immigration departments, saying that I.D cards and other documents are being sold for up to as 40,000 shillings. In its report dubbed ‘Stateless in Kenya’ the CAJ shows how terrorists easily acquire this all-crucial documents and carrying out atrocoties in the country. The CAJ is now calling gov’t to carry out a nationwide verification exercise for all identification documents.
