Sierra Leone: V.P. Joh launches e-passport

Vice President Victor Bockarie Foh, on Monday 31st August 2015 at the Ministry of Internal Affairs conference Room in Freetown, officially launched the new electronic passport jointly organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Immigration Department.

The ceremony attracted dignitaries from Ministries, Departments and Agencies and also from International Partners like Thomas DeLa Rue who witnessed the launching, one of the most topical passport deal in modern times.

Delivering the keynote address on behalf of President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma, Vice President Victor Bockarie Foh thanked the Minister of Internal Affairs, Joseph Dauda and Chief Immigration Officer, Kholifa Koroma, for their relentless efforts in introducing a new system of electronic passports amidst continuous concerns from both the press and Civil Society Organizations.
