{"id":1543,"date":"2016-06-20T12:27:31","date_gmt":"2016-06-20T12:27:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/test.hennhoneyball.com\/equatorial-guinea\/"},"modified":"2020-09-10T09:04:53","modified_gmt":"2020-09-10T09:04:53","slug":"equatorial-guinea","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/citizenshiprightsafrica.org\/en\/central-africa\/equatorial-guinea\/","title":{"rendered":"Equatorial Guinea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Citizenship in Equatorial Guinea is set forth in the <a href=\"http:\/\/citizenshiprightsafrica.org\/ley-num-32011-de-fecha-14-de-julio-regulatora-de-la-nacionalidad-ecuatoguineana\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ley No.3\/2011 reguladora de la Nacionalidad Ecuatoguineana<\/a>.\u00a0 The law provides for children to acquire nationality from either parent &#8212; removing gender discrimination in the 1990 law &#8212; and for the children born in the territory to have the right to opt for Equato-Guinean nationality from the age of 18. The reform also simplified the provisions surrounding acquisition of nationality; however, it increased the period of residence necessary for naturalisation (except in case of marriage) from 10 to 40 years.
