{"id":21788,"date":"2019-02-03T08:46:10","date_gmt":"2019-02-03T08:46:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/citizenshiprightsafrica.org\/?p=21788"},"modified":"2019-02-04T08:48:45","modified_gmt":"2019-02-04T08:48:45","slug":"nigeria-atiku-abubakar-is-cameroonian-nnamdi-kanu-claims","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citizenshiprightsafrica.org\/en\/nigeria-atiku-abubakar-is-cameroonian-nnamdi-kanu-claims\/","title":{"rendered":"Nigeria: Atiku Abubakar Is Cameroonian, Nnamdi Kanu Claims"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Biola Adebayo<\/p>\n<p>Nnamdi Kanu, the fugitive leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra has stirred new dust with his latest claim that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar is a Cameroonian.<\/p>\n<p>Atiku was born in Jada, in Ganye local government of Adamawa State more than 72 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Kanu now claimed in a broadcast to his followers that Atiku\u2019s Jada was once part of Cameroon, a claim that is historically correct, up till 59 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Kanu was referring to the situation in British Cameroon before Nigeria\u2019s independence in 1960.
