This report provides an overview and analysis of Ghana\u2019s identification ecosystem (IE). It discusses seven major identification (ID) systems: Birth Certificates, Voter ID cards, National Health Insurance cards, Driver\u2019s Licences, Passports, National Identification cards (Ghanacard), and SIM cards. The authors focus on how these ID systems \u2014 especially the Ghanacard and Sim cards \u2014 shape access to citizens\u2019 rights, access to public goods and services, and participation in the national economy.<\/p>\n
