This Act may be cited as the Constitution (Amendment) (No. 3) Act, 1962, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 27th day of April, 1961.<\/p>\n<p>2. Sub-section (4) of section 23 of the Constitution is hereby amended by-<\/p>\n<p>(a) the substitution of a semi-colon and the word &#8216;or&#8217; for the fullstop at the end of paragraph (f); and<\/p>\n<p>(b) the addition immediately thereafter of the following new paragraph-<br \/>\n&#8216;(g) for the limitation of citizenship of Sierra Leone to persons of negro African descent, as defined in sub-section( 3) of section 1 of this Constitution, and for the restrictions placed upon certain other persons by sub-section (4) of the said section&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Further retroactive amendments to the constitution in relation to &#8216;negro African descent&#8217; requirements.
