The Refugees Act 2006, which represents a significant improvement on its predecessor, entered into force in 2008 and regulations to operationalize it were passed in 2010. This article describes the Act\u2019s rights framework and the process of refugee status determination under it, and analyses those rights guaranteed<\/div>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"223.45499999999998\">by the Act to recognized refugees that fall below regional and international benchmarks.
