VICE President Constantino Chiwenga has promised Zimbabweans of Indians origin freedom of worship as well as to protect their investments as he met a tiny section of the Asian community Sunday to drum up support for Zanu PF presidential candidate Emmerson Mnangagwa.<\/p>\n
Zimbabwe holds its harmonised elections July 30 with Mnangagwa\u2019s popularity facing tough test from MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa.<\/p>\n
Chiwenga said Indians living in Zimbabwe must vote for Mnangagwa whom he said has done a lot for them within the short seven month period he has been President<\/p>\n

VP Chiwenga went on to say that the ruling party candidate has also made it easier for the Asians to acquire Zimbabwean citizenship without any challenges.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne of your major problem as the Asian community was being taken as aliens with zeros on your identification and those zeros are no more,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are now all Zimbabweans.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo with now all these having been done by the president and Zanu PF candidate, within a period of seven months; it\u2019s quite impressive, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd this is why we are coming to you to say give him your thumbs up, give him your vote, we need your vote, vote for him to continue with these important reforms.\u201d<\/p>\n
