Aysheshim was honored with the award for \u201csupporting national cohesion, unity and development\u201d ever since political chaos rocked the new nation in 2013, triggering tribal hatred and social divide among the South Sudanese.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the occasion, President Salva Kiir said the Ethiopian businessman, now South Sudanese as well, has been \u201ca great friend and defender of humanity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Aysheshim Teka, who owns Dembesh Hotel of Juba, has contributed to South Sudan\u2019s development by renovating the country\u2019s police training centers, and raising funds for social welfare among others, President Salva Kiir noted.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.2merkato.com\/news\/alerts\/5670-ethiopian-businessman-awarded-honorary-south-sudanese-citizenship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/www.2merkato.com\/news\/alerts\/5670-ethiopian-businessman-awarded-honorary-south-sudanese-citizenship<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Aysheshim Teka, an Ethiopian businessman based in South Sudan, has been awarded a South Sudanese honorary citizenship by the country&rsquo;s president.
