The Democratic Alliance (DA) says that the department of home affairs could be denying as much as 1 in 5 South African children an education.<\/p>\n
This follows a question posed in parliament by the DA\u2019s Adrian Roos, who wanted to know why children are still being denied access to education due to not having documentation and what steps are being taken to resolve this.<\/p>\n
\u201cHome affairs often talking about this issue as an issue of undocumented migrants, but not many know about the widespread problems we have with undocumented South African children,\u201d he told The Citizen.<\/p>\n
