While appreciating the various legal reforms that have taken place, including revisions to the Penal Code, the Committee is concerned about continuing legal provisions and regulations that discriminate against women, including the law on nationality, which does not give women of the Niger who marry foreigners the option to transmit their nationality to their spouse […].
