Nigeria: NPoC Begins Birth Registration in Adamawa

Yola — The National Population Commission (NPoC) has commenced birth registration in Adamawa state and has requested for additional manpower from the state civil service to assist with the process.

Speaking at the flag-off of the registration exercise being coordinated in collaboration with UNICEF/EU in Yola yesterday, a Federal Commissioner of the NPoC, David Garnvwa said the commission has only 79 registrars to cover 226 wards across the 21 local governments of the state.
