One of the United Nations’ 2015 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is to end poverty in all its forms everywhere. A key mechanism for eliminating poverty is the guarantee that everyone has a form of legal identity.
This case study, led by Professor Joseph Wong, looks at South Africa’s success in increasing birth registration as an example of capacity to reach those who are hardest to reach in the journey to eliminate poverty.
