The Office of the Attorney-General has raised concerns over proposed legislation that seeks to grant citizenship to stateless persons who have been living in the country for the last seven
years.

Through Solicitor-General Shadrack Mose, the State Law Office told the National Assembly Committee on National Security and Administration that the move risks being abused by
persons who have no intention of staying in the country.
