UNHCR: Results of the High-Level Segment on Statelessness

A total of 358 pledges were submitted on the occasion of the the High-Level Segment on Statelessness in October 2019.

252 of these pledges were delivered by States, 73 by civil society organizations, and 33 by international and regional organizations.

African states making pledges: Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo Republic, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

Also making pledges: the African Union Commission and International Conference on the Great Lakes Region of Africa (ICGLR), as well as civil society groups from across the continent.
