Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has issued decisions revoking the Egyptian nationality of three individuals for different legal reasons, including a woman born in Israel.
The decisions, published in the official gazette, were issued in accordance with the constitution and Law No. 26 of 1975 on Egyptian nationality.
The first decision stripped Ahmed Samir Ahmed Al-Far of his citizenship after he was found to be residing abroad and joining a foreign organisation working to undermine the country’s social and economic system by force.
The second decision revoked the citizenship of Manaya Medhat Mohamed El-Sayed Abdullah Keshk, who was born in Israel, for acquiring a foreign nationality without prior permission.
Under Egyptian law, citizens must obtain approval from the Interior Ministry before acquiring another nationality while retaining their Egyptian citizenship.
The third decision stripped Mohamed Abdel Salam Ibrahim Abu Elaa of his nationality for joining the military service of a foreign country without prior authorisation.
