The immigration department has moved in to resolve the Miguna Miguna entry standoff by sending application forms to the airport for him to regularise his citizenship status.

In a press statement, Acting Director of Immigration Services Joseph Munywoki indicated that Miguna is expected to duly fill the requisite documents for processing.

The department sought to clarify why Miguna was denied entry saying that he refused to present his Canadian passport for processing.

He instead produced his Kenyan ID, a document  that Immigration insists can only be accepted as a travel document to and fro the Northern Corridor countries of Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and South Sudan.
